Commissioning of TEMA’s Disaster Relief Warehouse

The Office of the Chief Secretary in collaboration with the Department of Defense United States Southern Command commissioned the Tobago Emergency Management Agency’s Disaster Relief Warehouse located at Signal Hill, Tobago.

The Tobago Emergency Management Agency partnered with the Department of Defense United States Southern Command in the year 2012 which resulted in the acquisition of two (2) Early Warning Sirens, which was completed and commissioned in 2015, as well as the construction of a Disaster Relief Warehouse facility at Signal Hill, Tobago. Construction of the warehouse facility began on 13th April 2015, and the completed facility was handed over to TEMA on the 12th January 2016.

This was made possible following initial discussions with the United States Embassy in the year 2012, they would have then made reccomendation for the venture to be further carried out through the United States Southern Command throught its Civil Military Assistance Division, Humanitarian Assistance Program.

The Agency in extension the Tobago House of Assembly extend their sincerest gratitude to all members whom would have made this possible.

We thank you.
