The Secretariat of Comprehensive Economic Development Plan held a two day symposium titled “Branding Tobago Clean, Green, Safe, and Serene, Perspectives on Our Way Forward.”

The event began on Thursday 19th November 2015  at 8:30am.

The focus was set on the development of the island of Tobago and the plans going forward. The Honourable Chief Secretary Mr. Orville London opened the ceremony and emphasized on community spirit and collaboration. This was followed by a a presentation by Dr. Elton Bobb coordinator of the  CEDP Secretariat.

Presentations were given by various organisations such as;

The Tobago Emergency Management Agency

Environmental Management Authority

Solid Waste Management Company Limited (SWMCOL)

Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA)

Division of Infrastructure and Public Utilities

And much more.

 

One of the main objective was that of the development of the tourism industry on the island. Following the presentations, there were an open panel for persons to present their questions, concerns and even suggestions on Tobago’s development.
